Onubogu Sports LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the RunsForAll mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Who Can Use This App
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will immediately delete their account and all associated data. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at support@onubogusports.app.
2. Information We Collect
Phone Number
We collect your phone number to verify your identity via SMS one-time passcode (powered by Firebase Authentication, a Google service). Your phone number is stored and linked to your account.
Location Data
We collect your precise location (with your permission) to show you pickup sports games near you. Location is used in real time while the App is open and is not stored continuously in the background. Run listings you create may include a general location (e.g., city or neighborhood) visible to other users.
Profile Information
We collect the display name, profile photo, date of birth, and skill level you provide during account setup.
User-Generated Content
We collect the content you create, including run listings, group posts, and player ratings.
Usage Data
We use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to collect anonymous usage statistics to improve App performance. This may include device type, operating system version, session duration, and feature usage patterns. We do not collect crash reports.
3. How We Use Your Information
To operate the App — showing nearby runs, processing join requests, sending notifications.
To verify your identity — phone-based authentication prevents fake accounts.
To enforce our minimum age — date of birth is used to block users under 13.
To improve the App — usage analytics help us understand how the App is used and improve features.
To enforce our Terms of Service — investigating reports of abusive content or behavior.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
Google / Firebase — We use Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Firebase Storage, and Firebase Analytics, all provided by Google. Your data is processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Other users — Your display name, profile photo, skill level, and run listings are visible to other App users.
Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account), which permanently removes your account and all associated data from our systems within 30 days. If you delete your account, we retain an anonymized reputation record tied to your verified phone number solely to maintain community safety and prevent abuse. This record is not linked to your name and is only used if the same phone number registers a new account.

You have the right to:
Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate information in your profile
Delete your account and all associated data (via Settings → Delete Account)
Withdraw location permission at any time via your device settings

7. Location Data
Location access is requested only while the App is in use ("When In Use"). We do not access your location in the background. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device Settings, though this will limit the App's ability to show nearby games.
8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our app requires users to confirm they are 13 or older during sign-up. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, contact us at support@onubogusports.app and we will promptly delete the account.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including Firebase's built-in security, encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), and Firestore security rules to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
10. Third-Party Links
The App may display links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
